Exciting new project with Arts Alive
May 6th – July 27th Arts Alive & Vintage Vision ‘Green Fire’ project.
We are very excited to be working with Arts Alive on a joint project called ‘Green Fire’, focusing on re-use and re-cycling. This brings together our own tutor, Emma Jones, with a textile artist, photographer and poet from Arts Alive in Crickhowell, to work with a group of local women on a three month project. They will be meeting in Vintage Vision every Friday morning from now until July, and we will keep you posted about how it’s going..
1940's weekend in Blaenavon
Saturday July 9th and Sunday July 10th there will be a fantastic weekend of 1940's themed events in Blaenavon, both in the town and at the Heritage railway. We are running a stall at the Railway event, plus running a 1940's workshop at the Blaenavon shop before and during the weekend. There will be a 1940's dance with a ‘big band’, in the beautiful Workmen’s Hall. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend, so make sure you keep an eye on these sites for more information as we get nearer to July.
